Hoffman and Hoffmann

This is Adrienne's paternal line.  Her grandfather, Albert John HOFFMANN eventually dropped the second 'n' after marrying Agnes Dorothy ZANDELL.

Adrienne has in her possession copies of postcards sent by her Grandmother Agnes signed "The Hoffmann's."

Then at some point, Grandpa Hoffman decided to drop the second 'n'. Since then, the family has gone by HOFFMAN.

When our first son was born, we added the second 'n' back to Hoffman so that his middle name is Hoffmann.
